The hosts of “Fox and Friends” are so mad that transgender students in California are now legally entitled to use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity. And they are also so confused about what being transgender even means! (No one will explain it to them, either. No one! Not a single segment producer or Fox News intern or even the Internet!)
And Michelle Malkin is so miffed at the prospect of parents and educators listening to and trusting transgender youth rather than shaming and harassing them about their identities. “I think this is social engineering run amuck,” she scoffed. “Apparently according to the bill that was signed, transgender is defined anyway they way to! As long as a child has the self-perception that they are transgender, they will be able to go into any bathroom that they want. Really, I think it’s a usurpation of local, parental and community control.”
But, most importantly, Gretchen Carlson is so concerned about what this law to protect the basic rights of transgender students is going to mean for high school pranksters. “We know that kids like to pull pranks,” Carlson notes. “Can you imagine now, the boys want to go into the girls bathroom and the girls want to go into the boys bathroom, and they can just say, ‘Oh, well, I was transgender for the moment.’”
“I just can’t get my head around this,” she added.
